Pinellas deputies investigate near-drowning at Gandy Beach
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (FOX 13) - Deputies are investigating a near-drowning that happened at Gandy Beach Saturday evening.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said one person was transported to a local hospital after nearly drowning in the water.
A witness told FOX 13 there was some sort of an altercation; however, deputies said no one appeared to be fighting when they arrived at the scene.
No other information was immediately available.
