St. Pete police search for three home invasion suspects
ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) - Police are looking for three robbers who broke into a St. Petersburg home and robbed the residents inside, who were initially fast asleep.
On Thursday, around 1 a.m., the three suspects entered the home in the 6000 block of 9th Avenue North and pulled the victims out of their bed, according to St. Petersburg police. The suspects were all wearing dark clothing, with masks covering their faces. Police said they demanded money, and stole jewelry and cell phones.
They fled from the home in an unknown direction, police say. The agency released home surveillance video which caught clear images of two of the suspects entering the home. It's unclear whether the victims and suspects know each other.
Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspects are asked to call the St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7780, or text the word “SPPD” and your tip to Tip-411.
