Unidentified man accused of stealing 83-year-old woman's purse in Publix parking lot

SEMINOLE, Fla. (FOX 13) - Deputies are looking for a man they say stole an elderly woman's purse back on March 24 in Seminole.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office released pictures Monday of a man they say stole an 83-year-old woman's purse as she was getting out of her car in a Publix parking lot.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. in the Publix parking lot, located at 7880 113 Street N. in Seminole.

Deputies say the man took the woman's purse and later tried to use her debit card at two separate ATMs, where his photograph was captured.

The suspect might have taken off in an early-2000s, red Chevrolet pick-up truck, deputies said.

Deputies said the suspect appears to be in his 20s or 30s and was wearing a Salt Life brand, long sleeve shirt, a black FSU ball cap, and mirrored sunglasses.
