Weber cautions people against paying too close attention to internet postings about tropical development this early in the season. He says when you see one computer model suggesting that something may spin up, it doesn?t give you the confidence that it will become a reality. Weber says no development is expected over the next five to seven days.

A quiet stretch has continued in the tropics after Tropical Storm Arlene formed at the beginning of the month. Fox 13 Meteorologist Dave Osterbeg says that should continue for at least the next seven days. He says this is typical for June as the months with the most storms are usually August-October.
