4 killed in head-on crash in Florida
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say four people were killed in a head-on crash in Florida, three of them from Hillsborough County.
The Florida-Times Union reports the four were killed Wednesday morning on a rural St. Johns County road, southwest of St. Augustine.
The Florida Highway Patrol says an SUV had just passed a semitrailer using the oncoming lane but failed to get back into its own lane before smashing into an oncoming SUV.
The driver of the passing SUV, as well as the driver and two passengers in the oncoming SUV were all killed.
According to Action News Jax, the driver of the was identified as John Hendricks, 47, of Lithia, Fla. Two passengers were identified as Renee Hendricks, 49, also of Lithia, and Niyah Hendricks, 20, of Lithia.
