Child critically injured in hit-and-run in Pasco

HOLIDAY (FOX 13) - The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a child in critical condition.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. in the area of Holiday Drive and Bonita Drive in Holiday.

According to Pasco County officials, the child was sitting on the lap of someone in a wheelchair, and they were both struck by a vehicle.

The child is reported to be in critical condition. The condition of the person in the wheelchair is unknown. 

FHP said the vehicle fled the scene after the crash. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact FHP.
