Classmates of a little girl battling brain cancer raised money for their friend while showing off their talents Tuesday night.

Morgan Allen, who will turn 8 years old this week, was diagnosed last summer with an inoperable brain tumor known as Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. Her parents said doctors estimated she had three months to a year to live.

As FOX 13 has previously reported, Morgan's parents have been desperate to find her help and have turned to doctors in Mexico, who are performing an experimental treatment that her parents said has been working.

Her parents, however, have spent at least $300,000 out of pocket on the treatments, which are not covered by insurance.

To help Morgan and her family continue paying medical expenses, her classmates at MacFarlane Park Elementary School in Tampa held a talent show fundraiser, set up by the PTA.

Morgan has been through three of at least 12 treatments and she and her parents leave Sunday for next one, a day after her birthday party.

Her parents have set up a website that tells her story at morgansjourney.org.
