Crews repairing downed power lines after crash

TAMPA (FOX 13) - City of Tampa crews are working to repair downed power lines after a car crashed into a power pole early Saturday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of South Manhattan Avenue and West San Jose Street. The road is closed from San Miguel and Henderson to Bay to Bay and Manhattan. 

The car sustained serious damage, but so far authorities have not released any information about the condition of the driver, or whether anyone else was hurt.

Officials will reopen the roadway once repairs are complete. Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes until then.
