December 4 is National Cookie Day
TAMPA (FOX 13) - It’s a holiday we can all get behind: National Cookie Day!
That’s right. Because we need another reason to enjoy a sweet treat after Halloween and Thanksgiving, and right before the winter holidays, December 4 has been dubbed National Cookie Day.
According to Nationalholiday.com, the unofficial holiday was started by the Blue Chip Cookie Company in 1987, and has been celebrated on December 4 in the U.S. ever since.
In honor of the day, all Great American Cookie stores are offering free chocolate chip cookies! Click here to find a store near you.
You can also head to participating Whole Foods stores for cookies at just a quarter.
