A Sarasota man was arrested after calling 911 to report a false home invasion while under the influence of drugs, deputies say.

Sarasota County deputies responded to the home of 22-year-old Austin Stuenkel around 11 p.m. Monday. They say he reported there were people running through his home and backyard located at 3234 Yorktown Street.

When they arrived they found 45 grams of cocaine, more than 3,000 Xanax pills, 3,800 grams of marijuana, synthetic drugs and prescription pills, according to deputies. Other substances were submitted to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office drug lab for further testing.

Stuenkel faces a variety of charges, including possession of drugs, but deputies say additional charges are pending.
