Deputies will check homes of people on vacation
TAMPA (FOX 13) - This is the time of year when a lot of us leave for a summer vacation.
The sheriff's office asked us to remind you about a great service it offers. You can sign up to have a deputy come by your home and check on it while you're away.
Just go to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office website.
In the main navigation menu, hover over Departments and select Dept. of Operational Support.
Click Community Outreach Division and click the link for Vacation Watch Request.
Just fill out the form, email it, or bring it to the sheriff's office, and they'll have someone check on your home on a daily basis.
