Deputy rescues injured, blind fawn from roadside

HCSO Cpl. Jeremy Davis saves an injured blind fawn

A Hillsborough County deputy is being recognized for an act of kindness.

On Saturday, Cpl. Jeremy Davis spotted an injured fawn on the roadside in the area of Morris Bridge Road.

He rescued the fawn - which turned out to be blind - and took it to the Bearss Animal Clinic on Florida Avenue.  We're told the clinic stayed open late to receive the fawn.

Deputies tell us the clinic will rehabilitate the animal, and then transfer it to a local zoo.
