Deputies in Pasco County are hoping you can help them find the woman who threw a dog from a moving minivan this morning, leaving the injured animal by the side of the road.

According to the sheriff's office, it happened near the intersection of Orchid Lake Road and Floral View Way in New Port Richey.

The driver was described as a "large heavyset female," around 45 years old, with blonde hair pulled back into a pony tail, and wearing glasses.  The vehicle was a white or grey minivan of unknown make or model.

The dog suffered a broken pelvis and is now in the care of Pasco Animal Services.

Deputies say anyone who has any information about the suspect is asked to call the sheriff's office tip line at 800-706-2488.
