Driver narrowly escapes death when car impaled

SAN JOSE, Calif. (FOX 13) - Firefighters in San Jose, California say the driver of this car managed to escape with only a scratch - after a steel beam crashed through the windshield of their BMW.
It happened Friday on SB I-280 just north of Saratoga. Firefighters from Engine 14 responded.
They posted the above photo in a tweet, reminding drivers to "be aware of their surroundings."
No one else was hurt in the incident.
