Early voting begins Sunday in mayoral runoff

Tampa voters will soon have their chance to decide who will be the city's next mayor.

The 2019 runoff election comes down to former Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor and businessman and philanthropist David Straz, Jr. Starting Sunday, April 14th, there will be seven early voting sites open throughout the city of Tampa.  They are as follows:

Fred B. Karl County Center (Lobby)

Robert L. Gilder Elections Service Center

Cyrus Greene Center

Jan Kaminis Platt Regional Library

New Tampa Regional Library

North Tampa Branch Library

West Tampa Branch Library

The locations will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

During early voting, voters can go to any early voting site and their ballot will be printed for them at the voting location. This is different than Election Day voting, when voters can only vote in the polling place assigned to their precinct. Election Day is Tuesday, April 23rd.

Voters should bring a Florida Driver License or other photo/signature ID for voter check-in. The full list of acceptable IDs for voting is posted at http://VoteHillsborough.org.

Voters can also drop their Vote By Mail ballots off at any of the early voting sites while they're open for voting. More information is available at http://VoteHillsborough.org or by calling (813) 744-5900.
