Everything you need to know about the Gasparilla Children's Parade
TAMPA (FOX 13) - The Gasparilla Children's Parade is Saturday, Jan. 23 and will broadcast live on FOX 13 News and on FOX13News.com.
The parade slinks along Bayshore Blvd. starting from Bay to Bay, and ends at Edison Ave.
Hundreds of Krewes, students, marching bands and community organizations will take part in the parade, along with the crew of FOX 13.
The event begins at 11 a.m. with the Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Rodeo, where children can learn about bike safety and even get free bike helmets. Then, the event continues with the Preschoolers Stroll at 1:30 p.m. featuring the youngest pirates. Then comes the Gasparilla Air Invasion, where the Special Operations Jump Team will parachute down to Bayshore Blvd. and DeSota between 2:45 and 3:15 p.m.

The official Gasparilla Children's Parade will begin at 3:30 p.m. and ends at 6 p.m., and is followed by a spectacular fireworks display.

The "Piratechnic" Extravaganza will begin around 7 p.m.
