Fiancée of Bay Area actor, killed in I-75 crash, devastated months before wedding

SPRING HILL (FOX 13) - The fiancée of a Bay Area actor, and local DMV employee, killed in a fiery crash on Interstate 75 says she is doing her best to wrap her mind around what happened.

With just a few months until her wedding this was supposed to be one of the most exciting times of Adrian Falcon's life, but now it's become one of the most difficult.

"It really was love at first sight," Falcon said. "I knew he was someone special. I knew he was going to be a big part of my life."

Holding back tears, Falcon reflected on the moment she first met her fiance, 31-year-old Daniel Allmond.

Allmond was killed in a crash on October 2, when part of a tractor-trailer went through a barrier wall, over the I-75 overpass, and fell on his car on Fowler Avenue.

Falcon says Allmond lit up when he was on stage and loved performing.

"He never actually got to fully propose," Falcon said. "Because he kept saying he wanted to get me this expensive ring that we couldn't afford so he was saving up for that, so he was saving up for that so he could do this grand proposal."

Falcon says it was an instant connection when the two met on Tinder three years ago. Both shared a passion for acting and performing, and a love for unique animals, including their pet hedgehog, Gatsby.

It was all part of the life they planned on sharing together.

"We knew that's what we wanted," Falcon said. "We wanted to get married and we wanted to start a family."

They set a wedding date for January 19, 2019.

"We both loved the number 19," Falcon said. "And we wanted to get married a little bit faster than we planned."

They moved up the wedding because her father is in failing health. Falcon and her fiance spent their last moments together having lunch at the hospital discussing plans to possibly move their wedding to the hospital church so her father could be there.

"We didn't want to miss our moment," Falcon said. "He kissed me on the forehead and said I'll see you later. I love you."

The Carrollwood Players Theatre - where the two performed together - is planning a special memorial service to remember Allmond. It is set for Saturday, October 20 at 11 a.m. at 4333 Gunn Highway in Tampa.
