Ford pickup suspected in Zephyrhills hit-and-run
ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. (FOX 13) - Florida Highway Patrol troopers are looking for a vehicle suspected in a hit-and-run that critically injured a pedestrian on SR-54.
The crash happened just after midnight Saturday, west of Dean Dairy Road in Zephyrhills.
FHP says a Ford pickup truck going west on SR-54 hit 50-year-old Steven Edward Terwilliger, of Zephyrhills, and then sped off.
Troopers say Terwilliger was walking on the north shoulder of the road when the truck swerved over and hit him.
Terwilliger, is now in critical condition at Lakeland Regional Hospital.
