Gas prices fall to lowest mark in 100 days
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Gas prices around the country continue to fall, and have reached the lowest point in the last 100 days, according to AAA.
The national average price for regular gas is at $2.13. The current average is three cents less than one week ago, 15 cents less than one month ago and 52 cents less than the same date last year.
In the Tampa Bay Area, AAA said the current average is $1.97, which is 10 cents less than the average gas price in Florida, $2.07.
"With gasoline supplies high and oil prices low, pump prices are likely to remain relatively cheap through the remainder of the summer and into the fall," AAA said.
