Get checked on Melanoma Monday

TAMPA (FOX 13) - Sunshine is a big draw in Florida, but it can also be damaging to the skin. Monday, May 7 is Melanoma Monday, a day to raise awareness about skin cancer and the importance of protecting your skin.
Doctors recommend head-to-toe examinations. You also need to watch out for suspicious spots or moles.

The Moffitt Cancer Center Mole Patrol will be hosting screenings at MacDill Air Force Base's AirFest from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 12.
