Good Day garden grows ginormous green bean

TAMPA (FOX 13) - The Good Day Garden is full of herbs and vegetables, including one very large surprise: a monster-sized green bean.

Since August, we have been growing a variety of vegetables including beans, broccoli rabe, basil, parsley, and tomatoes for our weekly gardening segments.

But this week, we found an unusually large green bean in the mix. The green bean oddity looks to be about a foot long.

There's no word yet on what caused this anomaly, but on Thursday's Good Day gardening segment, we'll be talking about how to harvest the vegetables, and we'll have more on the ginormous green bean with David Whitwam of Whitwam Organics.
