Hillsborough vote by mail ballots in mailboxes soon
TAMPA (FOX 13) - General election ballots are being mailed to voters overseas, in the military and in Hillsborough County.
The Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections sent 5,019 General Election ballots to overseas and absent military voters Friday. The office said it's preparing to send more than 170,000 ballots to domestic voters on October 4.
Voters have until November 2 to request that a ballot be mailed to them.
Voters can request Vote By Mail by visiting VoteHillsborough.org or calling (813) 744-5900. Vote By Mail ballots must be in the elections office by 7 p.m. November 8, and the Postal Service recommends that voters mail ballots back at least one week before the deadline. Voters can also drop their ballot off at any of the four Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections offices or 16 Early Voting sites.
The deadline to register to vote for this election is October 11. Early Voting in Hillsborough County is October 24 through November 6, and Election Day is November 8.
