Kentucky Derby party will help support victims of domestic abuse in Tampa Bay

The Kentucky Derby is one of the most exciting two minutes in sports. In Tampa Bay, one non-profit is hosting a derby party for a purpose.

The “13 Ugly Men” is a foundation that has been around for almost 30 years to raise awareness for Tampa Bay charities through volunteer efforts and large-scale events. The Derby Party is just one of them, and will benefit CASA St. Petersburg. CASA has provided services for nearly 40 years with a goal to end domestic abuse.

The Derby Party will be held on Saturday, May 4 at 3 p.m. at the American Social Tampa. Tickets start at $30 and all proceeds will go to CASA St. Petersburgs.

And of course, you can come dressed in your floppy hat, bowties and linens. For more information, head over to the 13 Ugly Men’s event website.
