Lakeland dealership burglar nearly loses shorts during break-in, police say

Lakeland police are searching for a “bumbling burglar,” who was caught on surveillance camera. The video also shows the suspect's shorts falling off during the break-in.

The burglary occurred on November 18, according to Lakeland police, at the Hyundai dealership, located at 1430 West Memorial Boulevard. Investigators said the suspect used a fire extinguisher to break a hole in the dealership’s wall.

Surveillance video showed him climbing in through the hole, but lost his shorts as he stumbled inside. He pulled them back up to his waist and proceeded to steal a generator, police said.
