Man shot after confronting car burglars

A Pasco County man was shot in his own driveway after confronting two suspects who were trying to break into his car overnight.

Deputies say it was just after 12:30 a.m. when the victim stepped outside of the home on Aramon Court to smoke when he saw two men trying to break into his car.  He yelled at them to stop, and that's when they shot at him, hitting him in the leg.

The man was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be OK.

The suspects did get away. Deputies did not provide a description.
