MegaCon brings all things pop culture to Tampa

TAMPA (FOX 13) -  

Pop culture enthusiasts will descend upon the Tampa Convention Center for MegaCon starting Friday. 

The three-day event features meet-and-greets with celebrities, panels on the latest movies and TV shows, comedy, workshops, gift booths, and costumed characters galore. 

Celebrity appearances include William Shatner, Jay and Silent Bob, characters from the Netflix Original Series "Stranger Things," and Stan Lee, who will be raising money for victims of Hurricane Irma.

MegaCon Tampa Bay runs 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Single day tickets start at $25, in advance. Children 6-12 years old are $10. Kids 5 and under are free.
