Memorial park honors U.S. veterans of all conflicts

Phase one of Tampa’s Veterans Memorial Park is done. It's a place to take the family and spend the day walking along the shaded paths while remembering those who fought for our freedom.

The park has a memorial set up for every war the U.S. has fought in – from the Barbary Wars to the Global War on Terror – which makes it unique.

“The park is one of a kind, offered Tom Aderhold, chairman of the park’s board. “You will not find another veteran or military-related campus, other than in Washington DC, that has all the components of our park.”

The well-shaded campus offers tranquil 21 acres to reflect on the sacrifices of our armed forces.

“We invite everyone – all ages – to come to the park and enjoy the history and the dedication our service members have made to our society and our state and our community,” Aderhold added.

The Veterans Memorial Park and Museum is at 3602 Highway 301 in Tampa.
