The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled more than 37 million fire extinguishers that are manufactured in North Carolina.

Kidde is recalling its fire extinguishers after it has been found that they can clog or must need what officials called, "excessive force," to use, the CPSC reported. They can also fail during a fire.

Officials said the nozzle can also come off during activation. There is enough force from the nozzle flying off that it can cause damage or injury.

There has been one report of a death in relation to the malfunction of the fire extinguisher, CPSC reported.
