Mother, daughter encounter bobcat at Circle B Bar
LAKELAND (FOX 13) - A Bay Area teen, who just returned from a mission trip to Nicaragua, said she was was immediately reminded of why wildlife in Florida is the best on Earth when a bobcat trotted past on a trail at Circle B Bar Nature Preserve.
Cheryl Shuler said she and her 14-year-old daughter, Sabrinia, were walking on a trail at Circle B in Lakeland when they saw the large cat jogging toward them.
In the video, the bobcat comes toward the camera, looks to the side as it gets closer, then continues down the trail.
Shuler said the video was taken Monday, June 20 around 7 p.m. She added, there were rumors of a bobcat at Circle B, but she had not seen one in person.
"Very exciting," Capps-Shuler told FOX 13 News. "It was something I'll never forget!"
