Nighttime burglars undetected by sleeping homeowners
BRANDON (FOX 13) - Investigators are looking for two men they think are breaking into homes at night while residents sleep, and escaping with stolen items, undetected.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said one of the burglaries happened just before 5 a.m. June 24. Deputies say two men broke into a home on Prowmore Drive through an unlocked kitchen window.
They stole a 60" TV, a laptop and a purse before taking off through a sliding glass door. The homeowner slept through the whole thing.
The second break-in happened sometime between 1:30 and 3 a.m. July 2. Detectives said two men broke into a house on Summer Clouds Place through the back window. The men took some items from the home, then stole the red, 2015 Ford Escape from the driveway.
The suspects were described as black males, between 5'6" and 5'10" tall, 155 to 175 pounds and last seen wearing t-shirts, shorts and sneakers.
The Ford Escape has a Florida license plate reading 897 TIW.
