No bond for suspect in Ivancic family murders
TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. (FOX 13) - The man accused of killing his wife, her parents and her brother went in front of a judge at the Pinellas County jail on Sunday morning.
Shelby Nealy, 25, was extradited back to Pinellas County on Saturday after being arrested in Ohio in January. During his first court appearance, he was denied bond.
Nealy is accused of killing his wife, Jamie Ivancic, a year ago in Pasco County. According to detectives, Jamie's parents grew suspicious of their daughter's wellbeing because they hadn't heard her voice in some time.
Investigators said in December that Nealy killed his wife's parents, Richard and Laura Ivancic, as well as her brother, Nicholas Ivancic, in their Tarpon Springs home. He also killed the family's dogs, police said.
Nealy fled the area with the two children he shared with his wife. Nealy was captured by police in Ohio and the children were found safe.
He currently faces three counts of first degree murder, with charges related to Jamie's death still pending.
