Home Depot gave a little boy and his family a big Christmas surprise on Saturday, according to a post by the North Post Police Department on Facebook.

The company took notice of Daniel Nicastro back in June after North Port police stepped in to give him a birthday party after no one showed up. The story went viral, and Home Depot said said the story touched them all the way up to their corporate headquarters.

So, Home Depot decided to help.

They surprised 9-year-old Daniel and his family with more than $1,000 in gifts for Christmas. Santa and a few North Port police officers helped deliver the holiday surprise.
