One person found dead following Spring Hill house fire

SPRING HILL, Fla. (FOX 13) - One person was found dead following a late night house fire in Spring Hill.

Around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, Hernando County firefighters responded to the home at 6444 Barclay Avenue. When they arrived, flames and smoke were visible on the roof. Officials said bystanders told them there may be someone inside. 

A portion of the roof collapsed. After the fire was extinguished, firefighters searched the home and found a male victim inside. The victim has not been identified.

The cause of the fire and cause of the death remain under investigation.
