Palm Harbor student hit by truck on way to school

PALM HARBOR (FOX 13) - A Palm Harbor University High School student is in the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle while on his way to school.
Palm Harbor Fire Rescue crews say it happened on Alternate 19 near Delaware Avenue around 6:45 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 15-year-old freshman was in the crosswalk at the time.
He reportedly suffered serious injuries, and had to be flown to Bayfront Medical Center for immediate treatment.
The Florida Highway Patrol says he is now stable.
