Passion for cars turns into musuem
PINELLAS PARK (FOX 13) - The Tampa Bay Automobile Museum in Pinellas Park is where history and cars meet. The museum was opened by Alain Cerf in 2005. The rare and exotic car collector wanted to share his passion for cars with the public.
"They are all interesting from a technical point of view," he said.
Susan Cerf, the director of the museum, believes a visit is a one-of-a-kind experience.
"They are going to see cars they can't see anywhere else. They are roped off, so they can look inside," she explained.
The Cerfs believes it's not your typical car museum.
"Not an museum of automobiles, but of engineering," Alan Cerf said.
All 63 automobiles at the museum are restored and in full working condition. Visitors are allowed to take pictures and can even look under the hood.
