Seminole Heights residents hold vigil for murder victims
TAMPA, Fla. - As the investigation into three murders in southeast Seminole Heights continues, the people living in the community are still left with more questions than answers.
But Sunday night their focus was to once again find support in one another through a neighborhood walk. Some family members of victims spoke briefly and led the walk as the community supported them.
"Somebody saw my son on the floor all bloody his chest his neck my son blood still on the floor right now there," said Casimir Naiboa.
Residents walked the streets in honor of Benjamin Mitchell, Monica Hoffa and Anthony Naiboa. All three killed by the same serial shooter say Tampa police officials. And while the motive is still under investigation, for now it appears to be for no reason at all.
"All three of them were so young and doing it the right way and working so hard that breaks my heart," said resident Janice Thornton.
The Naiboa and Hoffa families took part in the walk. Many community members say the fact a killer is targeting their neighborhood is of course concerning, but many still don't want to live in fear
"I'm not really afraid but I'm just afraid for the neighborhood," said resident Rodrick Johnson.
Investigators are also still trying to identify the man caught on surveillance at the time of the first deadly shooting. He is not yet being called a suspect or person of interest.
