Skeletal remains found in New Port Richey

NEW PORT RICHEY (FOX 13) - Pasco County deputies are investigating skeletal remains that were found Sunday morning in a 60-acre parcel of land west of Barbara Street in New Port Richey.

Deputies received a call at 10:23 a.m. reporting that a body had been found by someone walking in the area. 

There is partial clothing on the remains, but at this point the gender and cause of death is unknown. It's also unclear at this time if foul play is involved in the person's death.
