A Lamborghini was destroyed after a traffic collision in California, authorities say.

Costa Mesa police responded to the crash in the 1600 block of Whittier Avenue on Saturday. When they arrived, they found a bright green Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera stuck underneath a modular construction trailer, they say.

The police agency shared images showing the top of the luxury vehicle cut off and completely under the trailer.

The driver, 31-year-old Cesar Castro Rodriguez of Westminister, had no major injuries, but was arrested at the scene for DUI.

Police say his 25-year-old male passengers couldn’t be found. It took firefighters about 45 minutes to enter the passenger compartment, due to the unstable trailer and downed live wires.

It turned out the passenger left the scene before first responders arrived and was found about two hours later at his Westminister home with minor injuries, according to Costa Mesa police.
