Teen killed in ATV crash in Highlands County
SEBRING (FOX 13) - The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly ATV crash that happened in Highlands County early Sunday morning.
The crash happened around 2:45 a.m. on Grand Concourse east of Mathes Street in Sebring. According to FHP, the all-terrain vehicle was being driven by 20-year-old Owen Mack and had four passengers riding on it.
Troopers said Mack lost control of the ATV on a right-hand curve and it rolled several times.
Mack and three passengers -- Andrew Massung, Matthew Palmer and Dylan Feickert -- were taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Troopers said the fourth passenger, 16-year-old Parker Williams, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending, FHP said.
