The X-ray machines check for weapons... or pets...

Boulder Colorado's Sheriff's Deputies are always on the lookout for suspicious people and those who would try to bring weapons into the Justice Center.

The courthouse design causes everyone to file through x-ray machines as they enter the courthouse, and the  intent is to catch bad guys trying to get something past security, but sometimes they just catch weirdness.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Carrie Haverfield revealed that screeners caught a man trying to sneak his pet iguana into the court this week.

She shared the x-ray image that showed the reptile to screeners at the court.

Clearly this was no Godzilla; but while service animals are allowed in court, pets like this, are not.

In this case, the man was asked to take his live leathery lizard back outside.
