Toys 'R Us gets no sympathy from thief who stole more than $1,700 in toys

Deputies in Marion County, Florida say a woman took no pity on the struggling retail toy store chain, Toys 'R Us when she stole more than $1,700 in merchandise from a location in Jensen Beach.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office says 30-year old Ishella Silvena Richards, of Deerfield Beach, loaded up a shopping cart with toys and other items and headed out the door.

Deputies say store employees tried to stop her from leaving but she managed to get away and proceeded to load her SUV with the goods.

Deputies in the area soon spotted her SUV, but Richards tried to outrun them.

They caught up and arrested her. The arresting deputies say there were "mounds" of toys in plain view in her vehicle.

Richards faces charges of grand theft and fleeing and eluding. She was taken to the Martin County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
