Tropical Storm Earl forms; no impact to Florida
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Tropical Storm Earl has officially formed in the Caribbean, but the system is not expected to impact Florida.
A Hurricane Hunter flight -- delayed after aircraft issues yesterday -- found the system had intensified enough to make it the season's fifth named storm. The National Hurricane Center sent out its first advisory on the storm just before noon.
As of this morning, Earl's winds were up to 45 mph and the storm was tracking west at 22 mph.
