Volunteers needed for After the Fireworks cleanup effort
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Fourth of July fireworks are beautiful, but the festivities and the shows can leave behind a big mess.
That's why the folks at Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful have organized the After the Fireworks Cleanup for Wednesday morning.
Volunteers can sign up for one of two After the Fireworks Cleanups, which will be Wednesday, July 5 from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
The locations are the Courtney Campbell Causeway and Cypress Point Park. Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful hopes to keep waterways and public spaces free of dirty and dangerous litter left behind by the picnics, libations, and sparklers.
Volunteers may sign up online or show up at either location at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Be sure to bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, closed-toe shoes, and a reusable water bottle with plenty of water.
