The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be honoring a longtime fan favorite with this year's Ring of Honor induction.  John Lynch will be enshrined at halftime of a game later this year.

The hard-hitting safety played 11 seasons with the Bucs and was a key part of the franchise's turnaround.  He made the Pro Bowl five times as a Buccaneer and earned a Super Bowl ring during the team's 2002 championship run.

Lynch was released a year later and signed with Denver, where he made the Pro Bowl four more times.  He's currently a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.

The Bucs are waiting for the full NFL schedule to be released before deciding exactly when the ceremony will take place.  Whenever it happens, Lynch's name will go up alongside three of his Super Bowl teammates:  Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, and Mike Alstott.
