DAY 6: Manuel, Phelps, Murphy with gold medals in swimming

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (AP) - Michael Phelps won his 22nd Olympic gold in 200m individual medley. It's his fourth gold medal in a row at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.  

His teammate, Ryan Lochte did not medal during the event.

In the men's 200m backstroke, Ryan Murphy of Team USA brought home a gold. 

And in the photo-finish of the night, Simone Manuel became the first African American woman to win gold in an individual swimming event. Manuel tied with Canadian Penny Oleksiak, with a time of 52.70, in the 100m freestyle.
