The top women bowlers in the world are in Seminole this weekend. Seminole Lanes is hosting the Professional Women’s Bowling Association tournament.

This is the third year the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Open has been held at Seminole Lanes.

“It’s a huge deal, to have these ladies here and to be able to experience it for our bowlers and for our community. It’s a huge deal for us, it’s a huge deal for them. It’s a pretty awesome event,” Seminole Lanes' General Manager Cory Krauss said.

Thursday was the pre-tournament qualifier round. The tournament will go from Friday to Saturday night.

More than 30 bowlers will compete with the top five bowling Saturday night for $10,000.
