University of South Florida women's basketball coach Jose Fernandez is succinct in his description of his team's next opponent: "They've lost two games in the past five seasons. That's pretty good."

The University of Connecticut Huskies is the best team in women's college basketball. They are arguably the best team in collegiate sports.

With 11 National Championships in the last 25 years, they have lost just once in their last 123 games.

Last year, Mississippi State beat them in overtime in the National Championship game for that sole blemish on the otherwise pristine record.

The USF women's program has been in and out of the nation's top 25 rankings this season, and welcome the Huskies to town Saturday night at the Sun Dome.

"You aspire to play [UConn]," says Coach Fernandez. "People say to me, 'Do you really?' I go, 'That's what drives me, motivates me every day.' The best team in the United States. We have a chance to play them twice in [the American Athletic Conference] league schedule and once more for the league championship."

The Bulls have yet to beat the Huskies. Having them on the floor of the Sun Dome Saturday night at 7 p.m. may be the time when challenge and opportunity collide with fortune.

USF (12-3) hosts #1 UCONN (12-0) at the USF Sun Dome on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m.
