The next named storm would be Owen, but Sadiku says there is no sign of Owen anytime soon. He says the 2022 season ended up being average with 14 named storms, 8 hurricanes and 2 major hurricanes.

He said the area is still on target for up to four inches of rain due to Tropical Storm Nicole and the tropical storm-force winds will be arrive throughout most of the day before those wind speeds gradually begin to drop. The system is continuing to move northwest after making landfall on the east coast of Florida around 3 a.m.

Dellegatto says we can expect tropical storm-force winds, which will peak at 60 miles an hour and 2-4? of rain through Thursday. He says the worst weather for the Bay Area will be Thursday morning. As of Wednesday evening the center of the storm was over the Bahamas and Dellegatto predicts that landfall will be around midnight on the east coast of Florida.
