4 systems spin in tropics, 1 to impact Florida
FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber is keeping an eye on four tropical systems, including one that will likely bring rain to the Sunshine State. Weber says a tropical wave that is working its way west will increase our rain chances on Sunday. After it enters the Gulf of Mexico it has the potential to strengthen into a tropical storm as it heads toward Texas. As Weber watches Invest 98 and Invest 99, he says wind shear will play a major role in determining whether or not they will develop further. Another tropical disturbance is also working its way west. If one of the four gains a name, it will be called Emily.

Tropical disturbance may bring rain to Florida
FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber is watching three different areas in the tropics that may develop over the next week. The first one is a tropical wave working its way into the Gulf of Mexico, which may increase our rain chances before it heads west toward Texas and Mexico. Weber?s been watching two area off the coast f Africa for a few days. He says they are still pretty disorganized and if they stay close to each other it will lessen the chances of the areas developing. However, he does caution that one area looks like it has a better chance than the other of gaining strength is the two separate.

Tropical activity could ramp up heading into the weekend
Fox 13 meteorologist Jim Weber is watching two tropical waves. Both waves are working their way off the east coast of Africa, but only one will likely develop into a storm. Jim is also watching a frontal boundary in the Gulf of Mexico which is providing some instability. According to Jim, a tropical wave is working its way south into the Gulf, which would add extra pressure to the boundary. He says that will bring heavy rain to Texas as it moves west.
