FOX 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku says the tropics are fairly quiet but he is watching a system that will likely bring rain to the Sunshine State over the weekend. Sadiku says the National Hurricane Center is keeping an eye on a wave that is currently off the coast of Africa and has a 30 percent chance of developing over the next week. The next named storm on the list is Emily.

He says Invest 95, which originally looked like it was strengthening, now only has a 10 percent chance of developing over the next week before it dissipates. The other area he is watching only has a 20 percent chance of forming over the week as it moves west toward the coast of Florida and the Carolinas. He says he?s not too concerned about either system, but he says the second system may bring more rain to the Sunshine State over the weekend.

Tony says the storm has started to deteriorate and is back to tropical storm status. Tony is also watching Invest 95, which has decreased in strength. The tropical depression is expected to take a path into the Caribbean, where wind shear should cause it to die off.

Don has top winds of 50 miles per hour and will stay over open waters. Weber is also keeping an eye on the newly-formed Invest 95, which is working its way west off the coast of Africa. He says it has a 40 percent chance of developing over the next week and may become the next tropical depression.
